Nonprofit Organization to teach lifesaving techniques to public at the Sahara West Library

Las Vegas, NV – In honor of CPR and AED Awareness week (June 1st -7th annually), the Be A LifeSaver Foundation is hosting CPR and First Aid training at the Sahara West Library on June 5th, 2021. The event is set to take place from 1:00pm until 4pm. Participants will be able to learn life saving techniques with up to date knowledge and hands on practice. Each participant will be issued a 2 year certification in CPR and First Aid at the end of the class. “It is important that we train as many people as possible to know how to be a lifesaver,” said Shae Freeman-Caimitte, President and Instructor/Trainer for Organization.“ This isn’t about profits, but instead it’s about creating more initial responders… the ones who are there to help someone else in need, before EMS and Fire arrive to the scene. The more that is done for a person in cardiac arrest prior to the arrival of Paramedics, the greater chance of survival for that individual.”

Shae has been hosting low cost and free events such as this for the past 3 years under her Emergency Preparedness training center, Community Responders LLC. She founded the Nonprofit organization to expand her outreach and offer the classes completely free to a wider audience throughout the Country.

The Be A LifeSaver Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing free CPR training in select areas across the United States. Their mission is to provide training to various low income, rural, tribal, black and hispanic communities where bystander CPR is not as likely to be performed in comparison to wealthier neighborhoods. Studies have shown that these specific areas have lower rates of survival (as well as lower rates of attempts to perform CPR) when a person goes into cardiac arrest. Much of this is due to lack of training resources as well as funding. Often times, CPR classes are much too expensive for some. Free training such as this may also help with creating job opportunities for those who may be seeking work but can not afford to pay for a certification class.

Donations and sponsorships are needed to continue offering this vital training to the public completely free. For more information about the organization, visit theirFacebook page at www.facebook.com/bealifesaver or website www.lifesaver.training
